City Hall Meeting with the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan

Members of Elevated Minds and Elevate2Success were invited to City Hall to mark two years since the publication of the Mayor’s Action Plan for Transparency, Accountability and Trust In Policing.

During the evening, we heard from different speakers such as the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan; Mark Rowley, Commissioner of Police for the Metropolitan and Sophie Linden, Deputy Mayor of Policing and Crime.

A panel discussion was presented around what has been achieved within the community’s trust and confidence towards the police, what we have learnt and what is next. Members of the panel included; CEO of Elevated Minds, Doreen Sinclair-McCollin; Xavier, who is part of our team and aims to become an officer and change policing within; Andrew Boateng and Donna Murray-Turner, founder of ‘Another Night Of Sisterhood’.

The evening also consisted of a music performance from Alessandro, aka EKO, titled “Black To Reality”, which was written in commemoration of George Floyd and many more victims of police brutality in the UK and around the world.
