Doreen Sinclair-McCollin

CEO and Co-founder

Doreen Sinclair-McCollin, B.Ed (Hons), NPQH, NLP Diploma, a qualified and experienced Education Leader and Consultant, Behaviour Consultant, qualified Life Coach, Parent and Children Advocate and Public Speaker.

Doreen is a creative professional who has held various positions within the education sector for the past 30 years. Her work with young people and parents is phenomenal, both within mainstream settings and a number of alternative provision settings.

Throughout her career as an educationalist, Doreen has significantly impacted on the life outcomes of 100s of children, young people and their families.

Akeila Browne

Co-Founder / Director of Coaching, Learning and Development

Akeila has over 10 years’ experience in coaching, as well as qualifications in Neuro- Linguistic Programming, life coaching, hypnosis, career guidance and development and has completed an MA in Coaching at the University of Warwick. She also has over 15 years’ experience of working with young people in inner city areas in both London and Birmingham.  She specialises in helping young people to overcome mindset blocks and become more connected to their genius, resulting in a greater impact, presence and higher performance.

 

Akeila is responsible for the coaching and learning and development here at Elevated Minds.

Simon Campbell

Project Manager

Si has over 15 years’ experience in the education sector where he taught Mathematics, was head of year and Pastoral Manager in inner city schools in Birmingham. Si is passionate about supporting young people to live a life where they are reaching their potential, whether they are at risk of exclusion, gifted and talented or anywhere in between.

Si manages and oversees all of the projects here at Elevated Minds.

Muneerah Dubidat

Admin and Events Manager

Muneerah is the Admin and Events Manager at Elevated Minds CIC. She has nearly 9 years industry experience and a first-class degree in Events Management, and her role includes everything from event planning and logistics, networking and building professional relationships, as well as overseeing a range of administrative tasks such as document creation and management, managing staff records, etc.

Muneerah has a huge passion for supporting young people and helping them increase their aspirations, as she knows just how important self-awareness, self-confidence and self-esteem impacts your decision-making and access to opportunities.

Interesting fact about Muneerah, she used to be Cabin Crew for BMI out of Heathrow Airport, and although she is afraid of heights, she did a bungee jump for her 30th birthday and wants to sky dive for her 40th.

Tahiti Fagan-Michaelson

Social Media Manager

Tahiti is a recent graduate of the University of Sussex with a degree in Economics and International Development. As the Social Media Manager at Elevated Minds, she is responsible for managing our presence across various platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.

 

Tahiti is an active member of the community through her work with Elevated Minds, which includes collaborating with the police to bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement. Tahiti has facilitated and helped deliver The IDENTITY Project, as well as participated in programs such as Passing Out Parade (POP) week and led cultural awareness presentations to new recruit police officers.

Alessandro Quao

Social Media Assistant / Facilitator

Alessandro is a multi-talented young person with experience in social media marketing, Cultural Awareness Training, and community advocacy. He has worked with Elevated Minds for over four years and his passion for the organisation runs deep.

 

He was first introduced to Elevated Minds in secondary school and participated in our IDENTITY Project. The experience helped Alessandro to understand the importance of community advocacy and the need for resources for underserved communities.

Kate Fahy

Project Manager

Kate's background blends arts curation and project management. Her overarching ambition is to champion diverse and underrepresented individuals and communities, and to facilitate spaces, conversations, and projects that have transformative impact. Prior to Elevated Minds, Kate developed facilitator experience on 20+ projects with vulnerable young people, and acquired skills including keen attention to detail, strong communication, enabling and creating a safe and open space, organisation, and social and cultural awareness. At Elevated Minds, she is passionate about empowering all young people to recognise and reach their potential.

Dixie Joseph

Chair of Directors

Dixie is an experienced project manager who has worked in the Voluntary and community sector for a number of years.

Dixie has worked with a number of social enterprises and development agencies managing funding streams for infrastructure development; training and capacity building; business planning with on-site incubation of over 50 SME  within Haringey, Enfield and Waltham Forest.

Dixie was the lead on Business Development for Haringey, sitting at the London Development Agency (LDA) and Social Enterprise London (SEL) boards advocating on behalf of the VCS. These roles enabled Dixie to access and secure funding for the sector, managing a funding portfolio of £30 million across London.

She was the Chair of Haringey’s CVS from its inception as 'The Share' project to registration as the official council of voluntary sector services. A role she fulfilled for seven years which enabled able to access over £1.6 million in funds for groups, local charities, youth development and capacity building for the sector. This role had previously been left underrepresented at the strategic partnerships and Dixie was able to represent over 3000 SME of Haringey at a strategy level opening procurement opportunity for the sector to deliver public services; coordinating a joined-up approach to becoming more sustainable and increase their reach into other areas of work, including Early years, Sure-Start and Youth services. Dixie has a strong belief in collective working and advocates on social justice and promoting equality of opportunity for all.
